Spring hasn't officially arrived; however Camarillo has been experiencing Spring-like weather with recent highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's.

Planting: This week the second grade and third grade classes came to the garden and planted in their assigned garden beds.

Existing plants: The cool weather vegetables planted last month are doing well as are the artichoke plants and the volunteer sunflowers (seeds dropped from last year's sunflowers).

Garden expansion: On March 13 we received approval to implement the recently-submitted garden expansion proposal. The proposal  includes installing piped water with several hose bibbs in the garden, construction of three new raised garden beds, and converting two existing gardens to raised garden beds. On March 14, students began removing excess dirt where two new garden beds will be constructed
