Thanks to Don and Sharon Brubaker for donating the concrete paver blocks to the school. Mrs. Baer's summer school students voted to use the pavers to improve the garden entrance path. Students excavated excess dirt (mostly sand) on the garden path between the bridge and the sidewalk at the west end of the school building. Mr. Sandy leveled the remaining sand to prepare a base for the paver blocks. On July 2, students carried the paver blocks to the path and placed them on the sand base. Mr Sandy moved the blocks into their final position and cut the end blocks on an angle to fit against the bridge and the against the existing sidewalk. When the path was done, students had moved and placed 1500 pounds of paver blocks! (Photos by Mrs. Baer.)
